Work Experience
Work experience is a great way for young people to get a taste of a job and see what skills they're going to need for the world of work.
Work Experience with O'Tooles
A work placement with us is an opportunity to spend a period of time outside the classroom, learning about how we run a swimming teaching and holiday activities company. During the placement, you will be able to find out what skills we look for when hiring someone to fill a job vacancy.
It will offer you a great chance to develop your self-confidence and communication skills. This will help you to work better with other people in later life.
During your placement
We will give you a tour and tell you everything you need to know on your first day. We always welcome questions because it is one of the best ways to learn, so make sure you ask. Before we start anything one of our supervisors will make sure you understand the health and safety rules and your own responsibilities while you're at work with us.
On the placement you will be able to see what happens in our office environment. This includes the management of swimming timetables, updating and creating our websites and much much more.
We will always at the end of your placement give you feedback on the things we liked about you, the things you did well and the things that you could work on.
It is always a good idea to put some details of your placement to your CV. We are always happy to supply references if you're thinking of applying for a part-time or holiday job.
